Most school and college leavers start their training with us at AAT level. The Association of Accounting Technicians qualification provides a good grounding in accountancy and finance and is usually studied at a local college on either day release or evening study. Some trainees will go on to study ACA or ACCA with the benefit of having studied for an additional qualification along the way.
We can offer you the chance to train in a firm with strong links to the local business community, we have all the benefits of a large independent practice but are small enough to recognise your individual commitment and contribution.
We recruit trainees to study the AAT qualification both from school and from college. You should have achieved good academic results in your GCSE's and/or A levels, including passes at A or B in English and Maths. We prefer to recruit AAT trainees with A Levels.
Recruitment begins early in the year with applications closing around the end of February. We usually conduct interviews in March and April and employment will generally start around the end of August for a September start at college. See the information on How to Apply. If you miss the deadline you can still send an application to be considered for the next intake. Please be aware these dates may vary slightly.
For more information on the AAT qualification structure visit www.aat.org.uk
We have not recruited any trainees since 2008, no decision has been made about this year’s intake at this stage.
